Photo album
Eighteen years told in pictures. Four trekkers painting a schoolhouse, an earthquake that opened the walls to the roof, and the buildings that went up after it. The children in the first album are grown now, and some of them are still here.

In the classroom
Lessons, the library and the uniform days. What every building in the village is for.

The 2018 team trekked to the village and on to Everest Base Camp.
Expedition
The trip dedicated to the opening of the earthquake resistant school, and the down jackets that went to every child in the village.
What it took down
April 2015. The walls of the school opened to the roof and families slept outdoors. The last three are the architect’s drawings for the building that replaced it.
Expedition
Smokeless stoves for the village kitchens, and the dedication of the two storey classroom buildings.
Expedition
Classroom furniture, the library shelving and seating, and a new uniform for every child, every teacher and the Head Master.
Expedition
The first walk in. Everest Base Camp, then on to Chyangba to paint the schoolhouse and level the playground for the dental camp that October.
Come and take some
Nobody was sent to photograph Chyangba Village. Every picture here was taken by somebody who walked in, and the walking is what pays for the school, the teachers and the beds.
