Home / Projects & Impact / The Chyangba Girls’ Dormitory
Solukhumbu, Nepal
Finished in February 2026 and standing just below the school campus. Twenty girls who live too far to walk now sleep here for the ten month school year, at no cost to their families.
The girls shared floor mattresses laid side by side in one room. There was no space to store anything, nowhere to study, and they ate in shifts because the room could not hold them all at once.
The new building gives each girl her own sleeping space, her own bed and bedding, and a shared dining area big enough for everyone. There is a study room, running water, and a set of donated computers.
Local partners in Chyangba Village, alongside the school. The dormitory is open for the ten month school year and costs the families nothing.
